Santa Cruz Community Table Ceramic Plate
Meet Drake Bialecki in the video below, and scroll down to shop the plate.
The Santa Cruz Community Table was lined with a collection of plates from various makers we have worked with throughout the years. We are excited to share our newest collaboration with Santa Cruz local, Drake Bialecki of Pacific Stone Pottery and give you the opportunity to take home a limited edition piece of the community table.
Set the table (yours or ours) with this 10.5” plate handcrafted from speckled clay from Pacific Stone Pottery. The aqua glaze will transport you to the shallows of the Pacific in the height of the summer when Santa Cruz surfers wake up early to catch the best waves before the day begins. The raw edge allows the clay's natural texture to shine through, while the Man in the Field logo stamped on the back reminds you to connect back to the earth with every meal served on this plate.
About Pacific Stone Pottery:
Drake Bialecki's mission is to connect people with handmade pottery and farm fresh food. His work is inspired by nature and informed by his background in organic farming; he sees both pottery and farming as practices of producing abundance. When not throwing clay, he is a Farm Certification Service Specialist at CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers).
- All of the handcrafted plates are made using 100% lead free, food safe glazes and materials, and created to be both dishwasher and microwave safe. The handmade plates are designed to be quite durable and hearty, however, a few practices will help the longevity of your heirloom pieces.
- Cleaning: Feel free to put your plates in the dishwasher. If you choose to wash them by hand, please use a soft scrub brush and dish soap, and avoid metal and/or abrasive sponges.
- Temperature Control: The plates are very capable of handling both hot temperatures and cold temperatures. However, when a piece is taken from one extreme to the other quickly, it can cause the pottery to crack or break (for example: removing a plate from the refrigerator and placing directly into a hot oven). Remember to slowly transition your pottery from one temperature to the next, and you will avoid this circumstance.
We offer apparel exchanges in original condition within 14 days of purchase. Community Table limited edition items and blankets are final sale.
